Intriguing reports came from a Berlin convention this month, reporting that James Marsters had been speaking out. He hinted at one panel that he was in talks to star as Spike in a Made-For-TV film for either The WB or another Network. “I don’t believe your efforts were senseless,” he said, talking of the fan campaign to save the series. “We are discussing a new Spike TV Movie project.”
The idea would be a movie, followed by a series if successful, according to one source. Amy Acker revealed she had also talked about a role. “I heard that they wanted to do it, and then I heard it may not happen.” David Boreanaz, however, was keen to move on, telling fans he didn’t think he would reprise the role: “The only way I would do any kind of loose end wrapping up would be if the pieces were right, and if they decided to do it on a higher-level, like a film. If they decided to do what they did with Firefly and Serenity then that would be alright. But you never know where everyone is in their lives at that moment.”
Steven DeKnight also confirmed that Andrew’s role in ‘The Girl in Question’ was originally going to be for Dawn, but Michelle Trachtenberg was working elsewhere. And, after seven years of bleaching his hair, James Marsters shaved his head for charity, live on television on The Ryan Seacrest Show. He managed to raise $25,000 for the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation!
