What a treat! Did you all catch Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz at the Emmys? And her slight about the cancellation of New Sunnydale! Judging by the reaction in the Emmy auditorium, could Disney and Hulu bosses realise the hit they could potentially have on their hands?

Either way, it was lovely to see the two reunited on stage and looking fabulous! Together they paid tribute to their cast and crews, especially their fellow cast members who can’t be here to celebrate 30 years of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the rest of us next March!

Here, on The Watcher’s Guide, we’ve been re-watching Buffy Season 4 compiling our Episode Spotlights, and we’d forgotten ourselves just how good the season is! Is there a stronger run of episodes than Pangs to Superstar? Perhaps, but these ones shine at showing Buffy and company adjusting to their new environments at UC Sunnydale. And they bring in Spike to boot!

There’s no Spike in our Spotlights this week (fear not, Lover’s Walk is coming…) but there’s a whole load of Cordy and Buffy action as the pair are forced to team up to survive Slayerfest ’98! And then Joyce and Giles re-embrace their teenage years thanks to magically-cursed chocolate! Season Three really was a wonderful time!

We’ve also got more Archive Magazines from Titan, including classic interviews with Emma Caulfield, Amy Acker and Kali Rocha!
