Willow Rosenberg

Played by Alyson Hannigan

INFORMATION

From shy computer geek to powerful witch, powerful sorceress to evil destroyer of the world, Willow Rosenberg has lived an incredible life which all began to change when Buffy Summers came to town. Befriending the Slayer and becoming her closest confidant, Willow began to experiment in witchcraft following Angel’s reversion to Angelus and later successfully restored the vampire’s soul. Following that triumphant first spell, Willow became a force to be reckoned with.

After an unsuccessful relationship with werewolf Oz, Willow began to practice magic with fellow witch Tara, and the two fell in love. But Willow’s dependence on magicks grew ever more obvious and Tara, unable to live a life dictated by magick, left Willow. The two were later reunited when Willow had purged the magick from her system, but one bullet changed it all. Tara was killed and Willow embraced all the dark arts in an effort to exact her revenge and almost destroyed the world. She was stopped by Xander and over the next year, Willow’s life became a constant struggle to never forget her sins and never repeat them: she fell in love with Potential Slayer Kennedy and ultimately proved herself when she cast the spell that gave every Potential the powers of the Slayer. She relocated to Rio afterward to continue her work and is herself one of the most powerful beings in the world.

Welcome to The Watcher’s Guide, a resource, quite fittingly, back from the dead!

The original website shut down in 2004, following the cancellation of Angel. Now with a new show set in the BuffyVerse eagerly anticipated by fans old and new and featuring the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy, it’s time to spruce up The Watcher’s Guide for a new generation.

All the episodes have been added, along with notes, biographies and continuity references. But as always, one question remains… Where Do We Go From Here?
