He wasn’t a fighter or a schemer; he was a local who knew the streets and wanted them kept safe.

After surviving an assault by Drusilla and her newly sired vampires, Rory’s priorities sharpened. He recognised that Magic Town needed protectors, and he threw his support behind Faith Lehane, trusting her to keep the fragile district from collapsing into violence. Though he had no powers suited for battle, Rory became one of the quiet pillars of the community — someone who offered shelter, information, and a sense of stability in a place where both were rare.

When Archaeus made his final move, Rory didn’t hide behind his bar. He rallied the inhabitants of Magic Town, urging them to stand with Angel and Faith even if it cost them their lives. For a demon who only wanted to keep his pub running and his neighbours safe, it was an act of remarkable courage. Rory proved that heroism in Magic Town didn’t always come from Slayers or champions — sometimes it came from the ones who stayed, endured, and chose to fight for the place they called home
