Pearl and Nash were born in 1935 to Susan Finney, a human who deliberately bred with a demon in the belief that her children would be the next step in evolution. Raised from infancy to see themselves as superior beings with a grand destiny, the twins grew up ruthless, ambitious, and fiercely loyal to each other. Their early attempts to create a new hybrid bloodline ended in tragedy when monster‑hunters slaughtered their children, hardening them further and pushing them toward a future defined by violence and vengeance.

Decades later, the masked Twilight recruited them with promises of evolution, power, and bloodshed. Under his banner, Pearl and Nash massacred Nadira’s Slayer squad and became two of the most feared operatives in the Twilight movement. When Angel abandoned the plan, the twins swore revenge. With their mother dying after the end of magic, they embraced Whistler’s apocalyptic vision of “evolving” the world, joining him in a plot to unleash a magical plague that would reshape humanity — and settle their score with Angel.

Their alliance ended in blood. During the Magic Town conflict, Nadira killed Nash, leaving Pearl grief‑stricken and burning for revenge. She resurfaced months later as muscle for Corky Smallwood, still hunting Angel and still convinced she was destined for something greater. Blinded in their final confrontation, Pearl fled into the night, vowing the fight wasn’t over. Of the twins who once believed themselves the future, only Pearl remains — wounded, furious, and unwilling to let her brother’s death be the end of their story.
