Aluwyn, the Saga Vasuki

“I always lie.”

Aluwyn first entered Willow Rosenberg’s life during an astral journey, presenting herself as a guide while hiding her trickster nature. Even after Willow uncovered the deception, she chose Aluwyn over safer illusions, recognising that the demon sorceress would challenge her, push her, and ultimately lead her toward uncomfortable truths rather than comforting lies.

Their bond deepened into mentorship and, eventually, intimacy. Aluwyn became Willow’s teacher in the higher arts of magic and a source of guidance during world‑shaking crises, from fractured timelines to the fall of the Seed. When magic died, Aluwyn crossed dimensions searching for a way back to Willow, gathering a coven of witches and trying desperately to reconnect their worlds.

But Aluwyn’s love came with illusions — attempts to soothe Willow with enchantments when she could not offer real solutions. Willow saw the flaw in that comfort and chose a path driven by responsibility rather than escape. Their relationship ended not in anger, but in understanding: Aluwyn loved her, but Willow needed a guide whose purpose aligned with her own.

Welcome to The Watcher’s Guide, a resource, quite fittingly, back from the dead!

The original website shut down in 2004, following the cancellation of Angel. But Buffy the Vampire Slayer was no flash in the pan. It inspired and changed the way television was made and 30 years later, we’re still discussing the show and hoping for something new from the creative universe built over 254 episodes.

Firefly and Dollhouse also brought unique looks at the human condition in a fresh and innovative way, with a science-fiction twist, just as the BuffyVerse dealt with fantasy.

This website aims to be the ultimate resource for the five Mutant Enemy produced shows, to preserve their legacy, their characters and share it with the generations that have come since…
