“Are you sure this is how you wanna spend your Christmas vacation?”
Buffy, Amends
Time for our holidays!

Hey, all you beautiful people! All of us here at The Watcher’s Guide are already tucking into mince pies and wrapping pressies (we are, after all, the very spirit of organised/fussy) and are settling in for the winter months. That means, of course, now that Season Ten has been completed, it’s time for a holiday break.
You’ll also notice that at the bottom of each episode/issue page is a box to direct you onwards through the story from Welcome to the Hellmouth up! You have a choice to stay in TV or move through the Canon Comics. I think Giles would be proud of our chronological choices!
We’ve had some wonderful feedback since we launched in March, and we still have a ways to go. It’s been a joy, especially the comic pieces – they’ve been written completely new from scratch and cannot be found anywhere else online! In fact, when we checked, there were no synopses for some of these issues at all!
To say thanks, we’ll have a Christmas present for you: you’ll just have to come back here Christmas Eve to see it!
Where Do We Go From Here?

Now, what will we be doing in the meantime? Well, we’re busy prepping Season Eleven (more on that in a minute) and there’s plans for a huge Firefly makeover, as we dig into life after the TV Series and Serenity to find out what became of our favourite space crew! Plus, 2026 will be the year that I watch The Nevers for the first time. We’d better clear space to my right. Your left.

Now, Season Eleven is coming, and I have to warn you, this one is off the charts! If you thought dealing with vampires and demons was tough, what happens when your new enemy turns out to be the people you’re trying to protect? It’s a roller coaster of emotion for the Scooby Gang and it’s frequently cited as one of Buffy‘s best comic book story arcs. It’s a twelve-part epic, with a break in the middle to catch up with Watcher Rupert Giles.
Alas, in True Blue, a four-part series, Giles comes across an enemy even he has no defence against: teenage girls. Yep… Giles is going to high school!
And after the devastating events of Buffy, we return to Angel, who without Faith is teaming up with Illyria! Of course, things go wrong, and Angel and his Old One end up back in time… where Angel has to avoid Angelus and Darla without destroying the universe!
Following all that, well… there’s something called the Reckoning…
And, possibly, a new series on Hulu too!

Yeah, this is actually the most exciting thing I’ve got planned. Who else can claim that pathetic a social life?
Have a happy holidays and a merry time!
See you in 2026!
