The Endgame is Upon Us…

“Well, you know what they say; ninety percent of the vampire slaying game is waiting.”
Giles, Never Kill a Boy on the First Date

Hey, Buffy fans!

Whoa! Time flies when you’re having fun – or rather when your rewatching your favourite TV shows!

For those who are unaware, Queen C, Cordelia Chase herself, Charisma Carpenter, has been working her way through Buffy season one – for the first time ever!

Having watched the first eleven episodes of her new podcast, aptly titled The Bitch is Back on Youtube, I thought I’d give it a nudge here. It’s interesting to see the show’s early days, not just through a modern day lens, but also from the lens of a fearless survivor and advocate, whom this website has supported for quite some time. Give her podcast a look here – and indulge in recaps where Charisma reprises her stunning role!

Where Do We Go From Here?

With Angel & Faith Season Ten almost over, Faith and Angel will soon finally separate and say their goodbyes! Next season will be a 12-part epic that takes Angel and Illyria where they’ve been before – but this time they may be the threat that the world doesn’t need! Out of the Past is coming soon.

Season Eleven of Buffy‘s coming up too, as it’s all change in San Francisco after a tragic event occurs that sends shockwaves through the city – and right at the heart of the Scoobies! It’s all still to come in our first arc, titled The Spread of Their Evil!

Soon, we’ll also be looking at some of the Firefly comic series – and adding some new chapters to our section on the ‘Verse!

New Sunnydale Update

Chloé Zhao

The pilot is complete. Director Chloé Zhao, clearly a fan, has been reassuring fans old and new that the show is not a reboot, but a continuation of the original storyline.

The show, if picked up, is tenetativley scheduled to air in 2026 on Hulu.

Coming Soon…

There’s still a Giles mini-series to go as well, before we head for Season 12. The Final Reckoning will soon be upon us…

You couldn’t have told me that ninety percent ago?

Welcome to The Watcher’s Guide, a resource, quite fittingly, back from the dead!

The original website shut down in 2004, following the cancellation of Angel. But Buffy the Vampire Slayer was no flash in the pan. It inspired and changed the way television was made and 30 years later, we’re still discussing the show and hoping for something new from the creative universe built over 254 episodes.

Firefly and Dollhouse also brought unique looks at the human condition in a fresh and innovative way, with a science-fiction twist, just as the BuffyVerse dealt with fantasy.

This website aims to be the ultimate resource for the five Mutant Enemy produced shows, to preserve their legacy, their characters and share it with the generations that have come since…
