“You really think they’re waiting for us in a magical place called Safe Haven?”
Zone

Trevor looks up at the dark-haired woman standing confidently over him. Echo. He doesn’t need to be told her name — he knows it. The way she stands. The way she looks at Alpha.
Echo wants to know why they’re inside Neuropolis. They tell her they’ve come for her. She asks why Alpha isn’t trying to kiss or kill her. He explains he’s a good guy now. He’s installed tech in Trevor so he can survive the new world.

Their conversation is cut short — Wielders are closing in. Echo gives Alpha a chance to prove himself: get them out alive. She has the tech and the data they need. With her genetic markers, they might be able to stop the imprinting. She’s destroyed the lab — only they know how it works. They need to move. Rossum has figured out how to weaponise the tech.

Outside, more Wielders gather at the entrance to Neuropolis. Paul thinks they’ve found Echo. Ivy tells him he can’t help. Paul disagrees. He tells the Ivies to head for the truck. He’ll be back — with everyone. As he walks away, the Ivies begin to form a plan.

In California, on the Hollywood Hills, Mag tells Zone it’s time. They move towards the transmitter, leaving the abandoned cars behind. One squad comes from in front of the famous sign, the other from behind. The Butchers, caught in the middle, don’t see them coming.

Digging through debris to clear a way out of Neuropolis, Echo explains Rossum’s new weapon: if the block is used on someone with their original personality, they can never be imprinted. But if it’s used on someone already imprinted, they’re stuck — irreversible. Trevor urges them to dig faster. The Wielders are close.

In the truck, the Ivies work through their plan. They used Trevor’s boom box to wipe his companion clean. How do they deliver that signal to all the Wielders at once? The answer hits them simultaneously — hack Rossum’s signal and turn the Wielders’ weapons against them. All they need is access to the broadcast. But they’ve no idea where it is.

In Hollywood, the Actuals are winning. Butchers fall to gunfire. Griff tells Zone to take Mag and the explosives to the tower.

As the Wielders close in, Echo tells Alpha to destroy the tech she recovered — if they can’t have it, Rossum can’t either. Paul arrives just in time. He says he can get them out.
In the truck, the Ivies realise they’ll have to enter the network and locate each source manually.

At the same time, Mag and Zone place the explosives. Then the transmitter’s phone rings. Mag hesitates. Zone pulls her away. The bombs are primed.
In Tucson, the others make it back to the truck and barricade themselves in. Alpha tells the Ivies to hurry — the door won’t hold.

In Hollywood, Mag answers the phone. Ivy is thrilled to speak to an Actual. Zone raises his gun — they can’t trust anyone with a signal. Mag says she can’t stop him shooting, but if they’re wrong, Ivy’s plan fails — and that’s on him.

In the truck, they need more time. Alpha draws his knife. He’ll buy it. Trevor tells him to stop — he can’t go back to who he was. Alpha says he’ll be fine, as long as Trevor doesn’t give up on him. He exits the truck and taunts the Wielders.

Then he leaps into the fray, revelling in the chaos.
In Hollywood, Mag finds the transmitter code and gives it to Ivy. She sends the jamming signal. Within five seconds, it hits.

Across state lines, Butchers and Wielders stop. Childlike. Helpless. Alpha disappears into the crowd. Echo knows he’s too dangerous to be near — for now.

The Ivies are ecstatic. But Rossum is already adapting. Ivy tells Mag about a place in the mountains — Safe Haven. But the jammer cuts the message short. Mag only hears the words “Safe Haven.”
Zone and Griff join her. She explains what Ivy said — a sanctuary for ordinary people.

In Tucson, Echo prepares to re-enter Neuropolis. She still has work to do. She tells Paul she knows he wants to be with her — but it has to wait until Rossum is finished. The survivors in Hollywood will need him. So will the Ivies. She hands him the device that blocks imprints. “I need someone I trust to make sure it doesn’t end up back in Rossum’s hands.” As long as he has it, even if Rossum captures her, they can’t rebuild it. They need to stay apart — for as long as possible. Paul says he understands, even if he doesn’t like it.
Outside the truck, Echo checks on Trevor. He feels guilty — Alpha fought alone. Echo smiles.

“Do you know why Alpha installed the interface in your head? Because he knew he wouldn’t be able to hold it together forever. And when everything fell apart, he wanted to be sure there was someone who could keep fighting in his place.” She tells him he’s everything that was good about Alpha. She wants him by her side as she returns to Neuropolis.

In Hollywood, Zone doesn’t want to go to Safe Haven. Mag convinces him. He asks how she has so much faith in humanity. Mag replies, “It’s simple, Zone. I refuse to believe we’re the only people fighting back.”
Before they enter Neuropolis, Echo gives Trevor one last chance to change his mind. There are people inside who need help. It’ll be a long time before they come out again.

At the top of the debris shielding the city, Trevor is stunned. At the centre of what was Tucson stands a Dollhouse — the size of a city. Hundreds of Dolls, ready to become soldiers. Or whatever Rossum needs to take the rest of the world.
Trevor asks how they’re meant to help them all. Echo says it won’t be easy.
But she’s brought a Dollhouse down before.
She knows, together, they can do it again.
