Welcome (Back) to the Hellmouth…

“The Avengers gotta get with the assembling.”
Xander, The Body

Well, look at this lovely lot getting along!

In the midst of filming their pilot for the new series at Hulu, the young cast of the new show took a delightful selfie as they got to know each other behind the scenes!

On top of this, the show has cast Kingston Vernes (The Survivor) in the potentially recurring role of Carson. According to Deadline, Vernes will play Carson, “a junior Olympian and popular student at New Sunnydale Academy” who takes notice of new slayer Nova (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) following a life-altering event.

As we know, Buffy‘s first potential love interest turned out to be extremely important to the series and the franchise as a whole. Is there more to Carson than meets the eye?

We’ll find out soon!

We’ll be back on August 4th with the first part of Willow: Wonderland – and there’ll be a chapter a day of the five-part story, to celebrate our (and her) return!

Now if only Alyson Hannigan would sign up for the new series – that would be epic timing on our part!

The Curator

Welcome to The Watcher’s Guide, a resource, quite fittingly, back from the dead!

The original website shut down in 2004, following the cancellation of Angel. But Buffy the Vampire Slayer was no flash in the pan. It inspired and changed the way television was made and 30 years later, we’re still discussing the show and hoping for something new from the creative universe built over 254 episodes.

Firefly and Dollhouse also brought unique looks at the human condition in a fresh and innovative way, with a science-fiction twist, just as the BuffyVerse dealt with fantasy.

This website aims to be the ultimate resource for the five Mutant Enemy produced shows, to preserve their legacy, their characters and share it with the generations that have come since…
