Merl was a snitch with his ear to the ground in Los Angeles’ supernatural underworld. A Brachen demon with a penchant for sarcasm and self-preservation, he served as an informant to Angel, though their relationship was fraught with tension. Merl’s knowledge of the city’s dark corners made him a valuable, albeit reluctant, ally to Angel Investigations. Despite his often cowardly demeanour and mercenary approach, Merl found himself entangled in the dangers of the world he sought to navigate. Unfortunately, his connections to Angel made him a target, and his life came to a tragic end at the hands of those who sought to use his knowledge for their own gain.
