Drusilla

Played by Juliet Landau

INFORMATION

A young woman cursed with visions of things to come, Drusilla was stalked by Angelus in 1860. Chosen by Darla as their next victim, Angelus murdered everyone in Drusilla’s life and drove her crazy, sending her fleeing to a convent. On the night Drusilla was to take her orders and become a nun, Angelus sired her and made her a vampire. For twenty years, Drusilla travelled with Angelus and Darla and continued a torturous relationship with both. In 1880, she encountered William Pratt, who having been rejected by Cecily Addams, welcomed the journey that Drusilla offered and she made him a vampire. For a century, they continued their journey together and fell in love, or as close as two vampires could get. In 1998, after recovering from a beating in Prague, Drusilla accompanied Spike to Sunnydale, California, where they stayed, Spike determined to firstly kill the Slayer and secondly to cure Drusilla’s failing health. Using Angel’s blood, Spike managed to restore Drusilla to full health and she became a force to be reckoned with, with visions and hypnotic powers aiding her in a battle against the Slayer Kendra, which resulted in the Slayer’s death. After Spike betrayed her to stop Angelus from opening Acathla and destroying the world, Drusilla left him for a Chaos demon and would remain away from California until 2000 when Wolfram and Hart contacted her to find and restore Darla to her vampire form. After doing so, the pair continued on a violent rampage through Los Angeles, until Angel’s setting them on fire split the pair apart. Drusilla turned up in Sunnydale shortly afterward in an attempt to convince Spike to join her and Darla in their quest, but finding Spike in love with Buffy and feeling he was a lost cause, Drusilla left Sunnydale for whereabouts that to this day remain a mystery.
