A man defined by loss and vengeance, Daniel Holtz was a vampire hunter in the 18th century, whose life was shattered when Angelus and Darla massacred his family. With his heart consumed by grief, Holtz dedicated himself to eradicating the vampire scourge, becoming a relentless and formidable pursuer of Angelus across continents and decades. His quest for revenge took a dark turn when the demon Sahjhan offered him a chance to exact justice far into the future. Resurfacing in the modern era, Holtz manipulated events with surgical precision, using Angel’s son, Connor, as both a tool and a prize. Though his single-minded vendetta made him a tragic and morally complex figure, Holtz ultimately chose a path of self-sacrifice, staging his death to ensure Connor would turn against Angel.
