INFORMATION

The Turok-Han, or UberVamps as termed by Andrew, were part of an ancient group of beings that naturally evolved into vampires in a similar fashion to the way apes evolved into humanity. At some undisclosed point, possibly when the Old Ones left the world, the Turok-Han were also banished, but not before being responsible for the race of vampires present in the world today. In 2002, the First Evil used the blood of Spike to open the Seal of Danthalzar that was over the Hellmouth and released one Turok-Han, which proved extremely difficult to kill. Once Buffy and her allies had researched the demons, they devised ways to kill them more easily. The First Evil commanded an army of Turok-Han which resided inside the Hellmouth. During the final battle, Buffy and her newly activated Slayers challenged the army, but it was Spike who annihilated them all, channelling sunlight through a mystical amulet. Without the army of Turok-Han to control, the First’s plan came to an abrupt end.
