Quentin Travers

The head of the Watcher’s Council, Quentin Travers was responsible for Buffy’s Cruciamentum in 1999, a bizarre and dangerous test that saw the powerless Slayer trapped in a house with a deranged vampire she was forced to kill. When Giles broke the rules regarding the test, Travers fired him. A few years later, Travers returned to Sunnydale to test Buffy again to determine whether she was worthy of information concerning the demon Goddess Glory. Buffy stood up to Travers and his Watchers and had Giles reinstated as her Watcher, to which Travers swiftly agreed when threatened. In 2002, as the Watcher’s Council prepared to relocate to Sunnydale to aid Buffy in her battle against the First, their headquarters was destroyed by the First’s servant Caleb. Quentin was among those who perished in the blast.
