A sports jock at Sunnydale High in 1999, Percy West began to fail in his subjects due to his sporting triumphs and Principal Snyder, determined to have a winning team, ‘employed’ Willow to tutor Percy in history. Willow ended up trying to do all of Percy’s assignments for him, but an encounter with a vampire version of Willow changed his outlook on things, and Percy soon began to improve, becoming a model student and passing history, much to Willow’s delight. Percy also aided the senior class in their battle against Richard Wilkins at the graduation ceremony. A year later, Percy had been accepted to the University of Southern California on a football scholarship, and had forgotten all about his former classmates, describing Willow as a ‘nerd’ to his current girlfriend.
