Called in to become leader of the Initiative after the deaths of Maggie Walsh and Dr. Angleman, Colonel McNamara became distracted by the mutiny and betrayal of Riley Finn. He became determined to detain Riley, and missed Adam’s entrance into the Initiative complex until the final confrontation began. As Adam’s demon hordes ran through the Initiative complex, a battle raged between them and the soldiers under McNamara’s command. During the battle, while trying to escape, McNamara was pulled aside and killed by a demon.
