INFORMATION

Ben was born with a strange ailment: his body would be the host for the demon Goddess Glory during his adult life. As Ben matured, he would frequently transform unwillingly into Glory’s body, during which time Glory spent her energy on searching for the mystical Key to her home dimension. In 2000, Ben was working as an intern in Sunnydale Memorial Hospital and encountered Buffy. Not knowing that Buffy was the Slayer, Ben pursued her and came reasonably close to dating her, until she changed her opinions on the matter. Buffy let Ben go, although they remained friends. As the time when Glory would use the Key to open the dimensional gate and go home drew closer, Ben and Glory began to cohabit more frequently, until during the final battle between Slayer and Goddess, Ben was left injured. Buffy was unable to kill him, but Giles had no such qualms and suffocated Ben to keep Glory away forever.
